Commercial Real Estate with an emphasis on leasing, acquisitions and sales
Mr. Hall specializes in all aspects of leasing including retail, office and industrial as well as purchases and sales of real estate. He is recognized as an accomplished negotiator and a frequent speaker and author of numerous materials on commercial leasing topics on behalf of the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Georgetown University Law Center Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute (where he serves on the advisory board), the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, the New York State Bar Association Real Estate Section and several other professional leasing programs. His materials have been cited as secondary authority in state and federal opinions.
Prior to associating with the firm, Mr. Hall has represented several international retailers, including Apple Inc., in negotiating leases for retail stores in the United States.
Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Hall was an Associate General Counsel for Gap, Inc. where he was involved in all aspects of new store development for the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy and Outlet divisions. During his 25 year tenure at Gap, Inc., he negotiated leases, nondisturbance agreements and other related documents in connection with the company’s retail stores and initiated the formation of leasing policy for all divisions.
Before joining Gap Inc., Mr. Hall represented shopping center developers in leasing transactions, real estate acquisitions and sales.
